About Nurselife

Hi, I’m Leonie. I am a mom, a registered nurse, and a PhD student who cares deeply about nurses and the communities we serve. Nurselife is my one-woman shop where two worlds meet: caring in the ward and cheering for nurses with practical tools, small joys, and real support.

My story

I became a nurse to help people feel safe, seen, and cared for. I have worked long shifts in busy Western Cape facilities and I know how much the right pen, a solid water bottle, or comfortable socks can matter when you are on your feet all day. Becoming a mom taught me a new level of juggling. During nap times and late nights, Nurselife took shape. It is personal, it is practical, and it comes straight from real life.

What I am building

Nurselife is a small brand with a big heart. I handpick every item, test it, and keep only what stands up in busy wards. I choose pieces that make work smoother and add a little joy to a tough day. If I would not use it myself or gift it to a colleague, it does not make the cut.

My research and community focus

I am a PhD student exploring how digital tools can support young people’s health in South Africa. My research and my shop share one aim: practical solutions that fit real lives. Good care is community care. I share what I learn, listen to what you need, and keep improving what I offer.
